Maple Mind Academy Rule of Conduct
Maple Mind Academy (a trade name under The Designers Club Inc.) is committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students, parents, educators, and partners. By enrolling or participating in any of our programs, you agree to uphold this Rule of Conduct.
1. Commitment to Respect and Inclusion
-
All members of the Maple Mind Academy community—including students, parents, staff, and visitors—must treat each other with respect, dignity, and kindness at all times.
-
Discrimination, harassment, bullying, intimidation, or exclusion based on race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or background is strictly prohibited.
-
We value diverse perspectives and expect our community to contribute to an inclusive atmosphere.
2. Safety, Health, and Well-Being
-
Safety is a shared responsibility. Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by instructors and staff.
-
Students must handle all equipment, tools, and materials responsibly. Misuse that endangers safety or causes damage will lead to disciplinary action and possible financial liability.
-
The possession or use of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or illegal substances is strictly prohibited at all Maple Mind Academy locations or events.
-
Any act or threat of physical violence will result in immediate removal from the program and may be reported to authorities.
3. Attendance, Punctuality, and Engagement
-
Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes, camps, or sessions on time and actively participate.
-
Absences and lateness must be communicated in advance to instructors or administrators. Excessive unexcused absences or tardiness may result in suspension from the program without refund.
-
Participants must come prepared with required materials and a readiness to engage in learning.
4. Academic Integrity and Fair Collaboration
-
All students are expected to complete their own work honestly. Cheating, plagiarism, or submitting work that is not your own is unacceptable.
-
Collaboration is encouraged where permitted, but all contributions must be acknowledged, and work must reflect individual effort where required.
5. Proper Use of Property and Technology
-
Facilities, equipment, and digital resources provided by Maple Mind Academy must be used responsibly and for their intended purpose.
-
Theft, vandalism, or negligent damage to property will result in disciplinary action and reimbursement obligations.
-
Unauthorized photography, video recording, or sharing of class materials, personal data, or other students’ work is prohibited.
6. Digital Conduct and Virtual Sessions
-
Students and parents participating in online programs must follow digital etiquette: appropriate language, respectful communication, and no disruptive behavior.
-
Sharing of unauthorized links, offensive material, or disruptive use of digital tools will lead to removal from virtual sessions and potential program dismissal.
7. Communication and Parent Partnership
-
Parents and guardians are expected to communicate respectfully with instructors, staff, and administrators.
-
All scheduling, attendance, and program updates will be communicated through official channels (email, parent portal, or designated group platform).
-
Parents are partners in reinforcing these conduct standards at home and within their communities.
8. Media, Privacy, and Consent
-
Maple Mind Academy may capture photos or videos of students for educational documentation and promotional use. Consent is obtained at registration. Parents wishing to opt out must submit a written request.
-
Personal data and student work will be handled according to our Privacy Policy. Sharing of another participant’s image or information without consent is strictly prohibited.
9. Disciplinary Process and Consequences
-
Violations of this Rule of Conduct may result in:
-
Verbal or written warnings
-
Temporary suspension from activities
-
Permanent dismissal from programs (without refund)
-
Reporting to appropriate authorities where necessary
-
-
Disciplinary decisions will be documented. Families have the right to submit a written appeal within 7 days of notification.
